About Aardvark Medical
Originally conceived by a pediatric emergency physician, Aardvark Medical is dedicated to improving nasal and sinus health using innovative technology to treat nasal congestion, chronic sinusitis, and seasonal allergies.
Aardvark Medical has identified an opportunity to address a recurring problem seen in the ER; infants and toddlers (5 years and younger) with severe nasal congestion. Nasal congestion in this age group can quickly escalate to respiratory distress, feeding challenges, and parent anxiety. Aardvark first generation devices work as effectively as the ER equipment used in the hospital. The Aardvark™ Aspiration-Irrigation-Relief™ device provides rapid relief for nasal congestion in a quick, easy, and clean manner. For pediatric healthcare professionals, Aardvark provides the first clinically-proven office treatment for nasal congestion, easy enough for home use.
The introduction of Aardvark Medical coincides with the growing incidence of nasal and sinus illness and the recent FDA warning on over-the-counter children’s cold products. Aardvark offers an effective alternative, utilizing a unique saline wash and aspiration technology.
Commercial availability in the U.S. is pending FDA clearance.
